GVC 1- I can identify major muscle groups and identify contraction and relaxation of the muscles.
Learning Targets- I can identify the trapezius, deltoids, pectoralis major, minor, biceps, triceps, Latissimus Dorsi, eractor spinae, Rectus Abdominus, quadriceps, hamstrings, and calf muscles.
GVC 2- I can explain the difference between tendons and ligaments and identify the ligaments in the knee.
Learning Targets- I can describe a tendon and list its function.
I can describe a ligament and its function.
GVC 3- I can identify core body lifts and the muscles they engage.
Learning Targets- I can identify and demonstrate a proper bench press and the pectoralis muscles and triceps used to perform the lift.
I can identify and demonstrate a proper squat and list the muscles of gluteus maximus and minimus, hamstrings, quadriceps, and calf muscles.
I can identify and demonstrate a proper pull up or body hang and list the muscles of latissimus dorsi and biceps.
I can identify and demonstrate a power clean and list the muscles of calves, hamstrings, quadriceps, abdominals, deltoids, triceps, and biceps.
